Lovable is the clear winner for teams building web applications. It delivers a complete full-stack app with authentication, database, and payment integration in under 10 minutes, covers unlimited collaborators for $25/month, and gives you code you actually own. Durable wins for solo small business owners who need a service website live in 30 seconds with a built-in CRM and invoicing, and no technical setup required.

Quick Summary

Lovable and Durable solve different problems. Lovable generates real, exportable React applications (SaaS tools, portals, dashboards) with a Supabase backend and Stripe payments built in. Durable generates simple business websites for service providers, with a built-in CRM, invoicing, and AI blog tools, but no code export and zero third-party integrations.

1. Prices and Plans Comparison

Lovable’s Unlimited-Team Flat Rate Delivers More Feature Depth Than Durable’s Per-Business Tier Pricing

Team PlanNo dedicated team planEnterprise: Custom

Annual DiscountYes (prices shown are annual billing)Yes (annual billing available)

Durable

Durable’s three plans are designed around AI usage limits rather than team size:

  • Free ($0): Live website on a .durable.site subdomain, 5 AI-generated images per month, 10 CRM contacts, 10 AI chat messages per month
  • Launch ($22/month): Custom domain, bookings, Stripe payments, 20 automated lead replies per month, 10 AI blog posts per month, 50 images, 1,000 AI messages, unlimited CRM contacts
  • Grow ($85/month): Everything in Launch, plus 100 lead replies, 32 blog posts per month, 500 images, unlimited AI messages, and personalized expert onboarding

The pricing is for one business website per subscription. If you run multiple businesses, each needs its own Durable account. There are no seats or collaboration features built into the pricing structure. One person manages one website.

What Durable includes that Lovable does not: booking management, invoicing, AI lead reply automation, and AI social media tools are all built in with no extra setup.

Lovable

Lovable’s Pro plan is $25/month covering unlimited users. A founding team of five pays the same as a solo founder. The Business plan at $50/month adds SSO, role-based access, and a security center, still covering unlimited users.

What paid plans include:

  • Credit rollover month to month
  • Custom domains (Pro and above)
  • Badge removal
  • On-demand credit top-ups
  • Multiplayer workspaces (Lovable 2.0)

Students with a valid academic email get up to 50% off Pro.

Lovable wins pricing for teams. At $25/month for unlimited collaborators versus Durable’s $22/month for a single business with no team features, Lovable is structurally better value the moment a second person joins the project. For a solo small business owner who only needs one website and wants CRM and invoicing included, Durable’s Launch plan at $22/month is a competitive entry point.

2. AI Capabilities & Features Comparison

Lovable’s Full-Stack App Generation Goes Far Beyond Durable’s Small Business Website Output

Durable

Durable’s AI does one thing exceptionally well: it generates a complete small business website in about 30 seconds. Describe your business, and the AI writes the copy, sources stock images, structures the pages, and applies a consistent design. No template selection, no blank canvas.

screenshot of Durable website

What Durable’s AI handles throughout:

  • Blog posts: AI-generated, SEO-optimized posts on a schedule (10/month on Launch, 32/month on Grow)
  • Lead replies: Automated personalized responses to website contact form submissions
  • CRM: Captures leads from the contact form and tracks interactions
  • Brand builder: Generates logos, social media posts, and visual assets on demand
  • SEO: Handles meta descriptions, canonical tags, and sitemap generation automatically

What the AI cannot do: generate code, connect third-party services, build multi-user app logic, or create anything beyond a static business information website.

The editor is section-based: click a block, adjust it, or click Regenerate. There is no code layer to access, edit, or export.

screenshot of Durable website editor

Lovable

Lovable’s AI capabilities are covered in depth in the speed section. The key distinction at the capability level: before writing any code, Lovable returns a structured build plan naming every feature it intends to create.

It flags missing dependencies (like a required Supabase connection) before generation starts rather than mid-build. The output is real React + TypeScript + Tailwind organized into logical component folders.

screenshot of Lovable website chat

Lovable 2.0 added multiplayer workspaces, Dev Mode for in-browser code editing, CSS-level Visual Edits, a Themes system, and a pre-publish security scan. The 80+ integration library covers Stripe, Supabase, and OpenAI without any code configuration.

One limitation: when given contradictory instructions, the AI merges both rather than flagging the conflict. Any app handling user permissions or sensitive data needs a human review before launch.

Lovable wins AI capabilities. It generates complete, deployable full-stack applications with real exportable code, not a website. Durable’s AI output is polished and fast for simple service business sites, but it cannot build multi-user authentication, connect a developer database, or produce code you own.

3. App Generation Speed & Quality Comparison

Lovable’s Production-Grade App Outperforms Durable’s Website Generator When Complexity Is Required

FeatureDurableLovable

First-Time Success RateExcellent for basic websites; no failure statesStrong; full prompt accepted, AI builds and deploys

Durable: UrbanClean Website Build

I built a service website for a mobile auto detailing business called Pinnacle Detailing Co.

After entering a business description, Durable asked a short onboarding sequence: current revenue range, location (it geolocated Colleyville, TX), and business name, suggesting options like Lumina Auto Care, Pristine Mobile Detail, and AutoShield Texas before I picked Pinnacle Detailing Co. The full site appeared in under 30 seconds.

screenshot of Durable: UrbanClean Website Build

What the AI produced:

  • A hero section with the headline “Your car, detailed by hand in your own driveway” and a stock photo of a hand-detailing a car
  • Location-aware subtext: “We bring the tools, the products, and the craft to your home or office in Colleyville. No drop-offs, no waiting rooms.”
  • A services section with tiered vehicle cleaning packages
  • An About section with AI-generated business copy
  • A Contact section with a “Call to schedule” CTA linked to a phone number
  • A footer with address, phone, and social links

The design was clean, dark-themed, and appropriate for a premium mobile service. No layout decisions, no color choices, no template browsing.

What I could not do: add a client portal, connect an external booking system, or export the code to host elsewhere. Pinnacle Detailing Co is a brochure site. That is exactly what it is designed to be.

Lovable: InvoicePro Build

I built InvoicePro, a Client Portal and Invoicing app for freelancers. The prompt covered multi-tenant dashboards, time tracking, invoicing with PDF output, Stripe payments, and a client-facing portal, with a Supabase backend handling authentication and file storage.

Before generating anything, Lovable returned a structured feature plan referencing tools like FreshBooks and Harvest as design anchors. It flagged the Supabase connection requirement with a setup link before touching any code.

screenshot of Lovable: InvoicePro Build

Key milestones after connecting Supabase:

  • Minute 4: InvoicePro’s landing page loaded with six feature cards and a hero section reading “Get Paid Faster with Professional Invoicing”
  • Pricing section: Three tiers: Starter ($9/month), Professional ($29/month, “Most Popular”), Enterprise ($79/month)
  • Under 10 minutes: Live on a lovable.app subdomain with auth, database, and Stripe wired in

screenshot of Lovable: InvoicePro Build

The code structure was clean: separate component files, typed data arrays, logical folder organization readable by any React developer.

One limitation: the code editor is Read Only on the free plan. In-browser file editing requires a paid plan upgrade.

Lovable wins. Not because it’s faster, but because what it produces is in a different category entirely. InvoicePro came out as a working SaaS product with real authentication, a database, Stripe payments, and clean, readable React code any developer can open and extend. Pinnacle Detailing Co came out as a polished brochure. Both tools delivered exactly what they promised, but Lovable’s ceiling is fundamentally higher.

4. Ease of Use Comparison: Which Platform Is Easier to Use?

Durable’s 30-Second Website Setup Beats Lovable for Small Businesses That Need a Site, Not an App

Registration and Account Creation

Durable’s signup is the fastest I’ve tested. On the homepage, I entered my business description directly into a prompt box.

Sign-up (email, Google, or Apple) came after, triggered by clicking “Start for free.”

screenshot of Durable sign up window

A short onboarding sequence followed: monthly revenue range, business location (it geolocated to Colleyville, TX automatically), and business name, with AI-generated suggestions like Pinnacle Detailing Co, Lumina Auto Care, and Pristine Mobile Detail to choose from or ignore.

The whole process took under two minutes from the first click to a live preview.

screenshot of Durable sign up process

Lovable’s signup takes about the same time overall. After signing up via email, Google, or GitHub, a short onboarding questionnaire asks about your goals and role.

The dashboard loads immediately with no installation step.

screenshot of Lovable sign up window

User Interface and Dashboard

Durable’s dashboard feels like a small business command center. The left sidebar shows Website, SEO & GEO, Customers, Invoices, Studio, Bookings, and an Agents section housing an AI Partner and Blog tool.

screenshot of Durable website editor

Business management tools sit alongside the site editor rather than separately from it. For a business owner, this framing makes immediate sense. Everything is organized around running a business, not just building one.

Lovable’s dashboard opens to a warm blue-to-pink gradient with a personalized greeting at the center. The prompt box reads “Ask Lovable to build a web app that…” with a Build mode toggle, microphone input, and a Connectors banner above.

screenshot of Lovable Home page

The left sidebar organizes Home, Search, Resources, and Connectors at the top, followed by project views (All projects, Starred, Created by me, Shared with me) and a Recents section. There are no modes to configure before starting.

Creating My First Project

On Durable, creating a website required no technical knowledge of any kind. I described the business once, on the homepage, and that same description carried through the entire onboarding flow.

The AI handled copy, images, structure, and layout without a single design decision from me.

The generated hero headline, “Your car, detailed by hand in your own driveway,” and the location-aware subtext referencing Colleyville specifically showed the AI using context from the prompt, not generic filler.

screenshot of Durable Home page

On Lovable, building InvoicePro required knowing that Supabase was needed for a backend, understanding what “authentication” and “multi-tenancy” mean in the context of the prompt, and connecting Supabase before backend features could be scaffolded.

These are manageable steps, but they assume some conceptual familiarity with how web applications work.

screenshot of Connect Supabase button

Customization and Editing

Durable’s editor works through global controls. A Customize menu lets me change font packs, color palettes, and button shapes site-wide in one click.

screenshot of Durable Colors editor

For section-level changes, I click any block and adjust it in a sidebar, or use Regenerate to let the AI produce a new version. There is no pixel-level control and no ability to move elements freely.

Lovable offers three editing paths:

  • Prompt-based: “Change the primary color to slate blue and use rounded buttons throughout” applies globally via the Themes system
  • Visual editor: Click any element directly to adjust text, color, spacing, or padding
  • Dev Mode: Open and edit the underlying code in-browser

screenshot of Lovable Text editor

Testing and Debugging

Durable has no debugging layer. It generates a site; if something looks wrong, you regenerate or edit. There are no error states, no console logs, no deployment failures. For a non-technical user, this is a feature.

On Lovable, when something breaks during a build (missing environment variables being the most common), a plain-text description appears with a “Try to fix” button. One click resolves most issues. For users comfortable with basic app concepts, this is straightforward.

screenshot of Lovable 'Try to fix' button

Overall Ease of Use Assessment

For a plumber, photographer, or consultant who needs a professional website with a CRM and invoicing today, Durable is simpler by design. The business description entered on the homepage becomes the foundation for everything. The name suggestions, the copy, the location-aware content. No concepts to learn, no services to connect.

For anyone building something that needs user authentication, a database, payment flows, or team collaboration, Lovable is the more accessible path to that kind of product.

Durable wins ease of use for simple business websites. The end-to-end flow (describe, sign up, answer three questions, pick a name, launch) requires no technical knowledge whatsoever, and the output is immediately location-aware and contextually relevant.

5. Privacy and Security Comparison: Which Platform Is More Secure?

Lovable’s Three Independently Audited Certifications Outpace Durable’s Cloudflare-Dependent Security

FeatureDurableLovable
Data EncryptionYes (SSL via Cloudflare on all plans)Yes
SOC 2 ComplianceNot publicly confirmedYes, SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2
GDPR ComplianceNot publicly confirmedYes, full GDPR compliance
Two-Factor AuthenticationNot publicly documentedYes
SSO (Single Sign-On)Not availableBusiness plan and above
IP WhitelistingNot publicly confirmedNot publicly confirmed
Code OwnershipNo (closed platform; no code export)Yes (full ownership, GitHub sync)
Data Storage LocationCloudflare CDN (location not disclosed)Cloud (region-selectable)
Privacy Policy QualityStandard privacy policy availableDetailed (SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 audited)
Third-party AuditsNot publicly confirmedYes (independent audits completed)

Durable

Durable hosts all websites on Cloudflare’s CDN, which provides fast load times, DDoS protection, SSL generation, and enterprise-grade firewall coverage. For a small business website, that infrastructure is appropriate.

What Durable does not publicly confirm: SOC 2 Type II compliance, ISO 27001 certification, GDPR compliance documentation, or third-party security audits. There is no public Trust Center or downloadable audit report. Teams in regulated industries, or teams handling any sensitive user data, should contact Durable directly to ask what compliance documentation exists before committing.

Code portability is a notable security consideration. Your website content lives inside Durable’s infrastructure. There is no code export. If Durable’s pricing changes, if the platform sunsets, or if your compliance requirements demand auditing the code that handles your customers’ data, there is no exit path.

Lovable

Lovable holds SOC 2 Type 1 and 2, ISO 27001:2022, and full GDPR compliance from independent third-party audits. Code ownership is explicit: GitHub sync provides a clean exit at any time.

The CVE-2025-48757 incident from mid-2025 is worth noting. Over 170 Lovable-generated apps were exposed because Supabase databases were generated with Row Level Security disabled by default. Lovable added a security scan in Lovable 2.0 that checks for RLS policy presence before publishing. The scanner confirms RLS exists, not whether it is correctly configured. A manual database access review before going live with real user data is still the recommended practice.

Lovable wins security with three independently audited certifications that Durable does not publicly confirm. Cloudflare’s CDN protection makes Durable appropriate for a small business brochure site. For apps handling real user data, regulated information, or requiring vendor security documentation in procurement, Lovable is the only option here that can provide it.

6. Platform Integrations and Deployment Options Comparison

Lovable’s 80+ Native Integrations Lap Durable’s Closed, Zero-Integration Ecosystem

FeatureDurableLovable
Native HostingYes (Cloudflare CDN)Yes (lovable.app cloud)
Custom Domain SupportYes (Launch plan and above)Yes (Pro plan and above)
GitHub IntegrationNoYes (full sync, branch management)
Cloud Platform SupportDurable only (no external hosting)Vercel, Netlify via GitHub sync
Database OptionsBuilt-in CRM onlySupabase (native, full integration)
Payment Gateway IntegrationStripe (via Durable’s invoicing feature)Native Stripe integration
Authentication ProvidersDurable account only (no custom auth)Supabase Auth, Google OAuth
API Integration OptionsNone80+ verified integrations
Third-party ServicesNone (fully closed ecosystem)Stripe, Supabase, OpenAI, and 77+ others
Mobile App DeploymentNoNo

Durable

Durable’s closed ecosystem is by design. Every tool a small service business needs (CRM, invoicing, booking, blog, email, social media generation) is built directly into the platform. You never need to connect a third-party service.

screenshot of Durable left sidebar

What is built in:

  • CRM: Automatically captures leads from contact forms, tracks communication history
  • Invoicing: Create, send, and track invoices; Stripe payments built in
  • Bookings: Calendar sync and intake questions on Launch+
  • AI blog: Scheduled, SEO-optimized posts generated automatically
  • Brand builder: Logos, social posts, and visual assets on demand
  • Hosting: Cloudflare CDN with automatic SSL

The trade-off: if your business already uses HubSpot, Mailchimp, QuickBooks, or any other specific tool, Durable cannot connect to it. What you see is everything you get.

Deployment is one click to either a durable.site subdomain (free) or a custom domain (Launch+). DNS and SSL are handled automatically. You cannot export your site to another host.

screenshot of Durable Publish menu

Lovable

Lovable’s 80+ integrations cover the most common production app requirements. During the InvoicePro build, Stripe payment tiers were scaffolded from a single chat message: checkout logic, billing handlers, and Supabase sync all generated without manual code.

Supabase itself is wired natively: schema creation, authentication flows, and migration management happen inside the builder.

For services outside the 80+ library, Supabase Edge Functions extend the integration ceiling. These require writing JavaScript, so they assume some technical comfort.

One-click publishing puts your app live on a lovable.app subdomain immediately. Custom domains on the Pro plan come with automatic DNS and SSL. GitHub sync to Vercel or Netlify is available for teams that prefer external hosting.

screenshot of Lovable Publish menu

Lovable wins integrations with 80+ verified services and no closed ecosystem ceiling. Durable wins on all-in-one convenience for small businesses: if a service website with built-in CRM, invoicing, and bookings covers your needs, Durable has it all without connecting a single external tool.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย

Is Lovable better than Durable?

For building web applications, yes by a wide margin. Lovable generates full-stack code with authentication, a Supabase database, and Stripe payments. Durable generates simple business websites with no code export and no third-party integrations. If you need a quick professional website rather than an application, Durable is the faster and simpler choice.

Which platform is easier to learn?

Durable is simpler for someone who just needs a website. You describe your business and the AI builds everything in about 30 seconds. No technical knowledge of any kind is required. Lovable requires understanding basic app concepts (what a database connection is, what authentication means), but its plain-English prompts and one-click error resolution make it accessible to non-technical founders.

How does Durable's pricing compare to Lovable?

Durable’s Launch plan costs $22/month for one business website. Lovable’s Pro plan costs $25/month for unlimited users. For a solo founder, the entry price is nearly identical. The difference is what each covers: Durable includes CRM, bookings, and invoicing for that $22. Lovable includes unlimited team collaborators and a full app-building stack for $25.

Can I export my code from Durable or Lovable?

Lovable gives full code ownership via GitHub sync, offering standard React/TypeScript/Tailwind code you can host anywhere. Durable has no code export. Your site lives inside Durable’s infrastructure, and there is no way to transfer the application code to another host. You can transfer your custom domain when you leave, but not the site itself.

Does Durable or Lovable support native mobile apps?

Neither platform generates native iOS or Android files. Both produce responsive web experiences that display well in mobile browsers. Durable’s websites are mobile-responsive by default. Lovable’s web apps are built with Tailwind’s responsive system. For native mobile app generation, Bubble or Famous.ai are the better options in this comparison series.

What security certifications does each platform hold?

Lovable holds SOC 2 Type 1 and 2, ISO 27001:2022, and full GDPR compliance from independent third-party audits. Durable uses Cloudflare’s CDN for SSL and DDoS protection but has not publicly confirmed SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance. For teams handling sensitive user data or requiring vendor security documentation, Lovable is the only option here with verifiable compliance.
