My website had no DDoS attacks but I decided to be on the safe side because traffic was already excellent and I was in top search engine positions. So, it would be a shame to lose results of work due to idletime. I chose based on whichever was greater by price than by description of services and reputation of the firm. I was satisfied with this provider’s prices and with the fact that it is a well-known name in the industry. I connected my site remotely, the tech support responded quickly to my request (in less than a minute), and helped me configure everything, even though it was in the night. My site now loads much faster.
Being a non-experienced developer makes me climb the walls when it comes to the process of transferring a website to another hosting. This company offers its help with migrating at no extra charge and this fact is a relief for me. The reason I moved to ddos-guard is protection against ddos-attacks. The site has always been up since the moment I started using this hosting.
So after identifying an illegal website belonging to a cybercrime well known organization, I sent an email to ddos guard abuse department.
The proof was too obvious and the website in question, rescator.cm, is well known for being one of the biggest carding websites on the internet.
Here is the reply I got from them :
Thank you for contacting abuse-service of DDoS-Guard. We attach much significance to the lawfulness of the content put in our network or the content passing through it. As far as you know, presumption of innocence is one of the main legal regulations in many civilized countries.
We apply the following guiding principles:
1. Every person charged with a crime is to be held innocent unless his or her guilt has been proven in accordance with the procedure provided by the federal law and established by valid judgment. 2. An accused person is not obliged to maintain his/her innocence. 3. Unsurmountable doubts as to the guilt of the person are interpreted in favor of the accused person.
Our company can’t act as juridical or investigative authorities and considers crime investigations and ascertainment of guilt as competence of the corresponding authorities which are specified by law. We are ready to consider any claim which is confirmed by the court order or resolution of pretrial investigation authorities.
Please, send us this order if it is available. Please, always have this order available when you contact abuse- service.
Best regards Abuse Service DDoS-Guard.net
Very convenient I have to say.
Basically implying that any kind of content is allowed as long as there is no judicial order.
Another Russian cybercrime paradise protecting the bad guys .
"Innocent until proven guilty" is a basic element of law that protects you against false accusations and lynch mobs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumption_of_innocence In this case they did the right thing, the right conduct is to contact a law enforcement officer so they can issue a judicial order against the illegal site. You can't take the law into your own hands.
I read this as a positive review for the site, because all other sites have reviews talking about how they remove sites for no reason at all. If I know they protect sites according to the basic principles of International Law, I can trust them with mine.
Online chat support didn't make me wait long to answer. My site was under ddos, almost every request gave back 502 server error. I wasn't sure if ddos guard protection would be helpful, but the staff member provided me free 24 hours test. Actually i didn't need so many hours cause ddos was stopped immediately after ddos-guard protection was configured. By now everything works fine. Thank you guys! Keep up the good work
